GOLDEN – A new refined nightlife experience draws nearly 500 to San Francisco
GOLDEN, brought to you by sf|noir and theREGISTRYBayArea, combined elements of art, music and culture with a targeted message that resonated among young and “young-spirited” professionals, artists and creatives.
By design, GOLDEN brought its guests back to a memorable period in music. It was a journey back to the GOLDEN Era of Hip Hop, and the GOLDEN age of Soul and R&B. The carefully selected venue, 111 Minna Gallery, with its curated walls and creative space design, was an exciting and new destination for many of the attendees. On display were finished works as well as a “work in progress” by well known Bay Area artist Malik Seneferu, adding a much appreciated and unique component to the event’s appeal.
In the end however, amidst the soulful beats, refined space, expressive art, colorful lighting and integrated wall projections, an indelible mark was left by the attendees. This was an all too uncommon Saturday night gathering of an exceptionally diverse mix of artists, professionals and creatives, all change agents for good involved in and beyond their professions in social justice, food justice, volunteerism, activism, equality, and economic and social advancement. Refreshing. Inspiring. GOLDEN.
GOLDEN returns in February 2015.
