Explore race and prejudice through the jazz lens. From the Cotton Club to Broadway and Hollywood, we appreciate a performance’s historical value, but the manner in which it was originally presented can be disturbing to modern sensibilities. Reflect on a past era as you revisit performances of Sammy Davis Jr., Louis Armstrong and Gerry Mulligan and South African films of the 1940s.
